In one week I will attend my first wedding in Essex as a second shooter. A jump into the cold water. In the meantime I had the chance to act as the "main shooter" for a little wedding of one of Nana's friends here in London. A good experience. It shows that you can't get any knowledge just by reading books or watching tutorials. When you stay there at the city hall, it's like you hold for the very first time a camera in your hand. Nothing works. Light, composition, story telling photos?
Forget about it. How does your flash work? No idea. What do I do in regard of mixed ambient light with tungsten? A the end it came as it was to foreseen. Pictures are underexposed, the whitebalance was not good, I created a lot noise, skintones were not to fix and realized I had a lot staged pictures. That was a nice lesson - but - I afraid I'm going to repeat the same mistakes - next week in Kent.
