Wedding Photography

As previously mentioned, in November I'm facing my first wedding as a second shooter. Time to get slowly prepared. One of the issues I will have to face is to create in the pictures a kind of "wedding atmosphere". This can't be achieved just with good skills on how to use your camera. A huge part is the post production in Photoshop.
Very often you take a random picture somewhere outside and when you come home and you upload it, you face a photo like this:

Let's be honest - it looks not very inviting for bride and groom to take a place in this picture. So we have to enhance the image to give it a more pleasing character. But you can't do this with every photo you take. If the image is bad exposed or has got a wrong composition, then it's for the rubbish bin. Photoshop can't make bad things good. It takes time to see what image can be improved, and which not. But back to my photo of a chapel: A lot wedding photos taken outside have warm colours, the trees are a deep green and everything looks just better then in reality (but not too good, otherwise it looks faked). So after cropping and adding a bit "magic dust" in Photoshop I ended up with this:

All you have to do is to find your own style and to deliver constant quality. And exactly here a lot people (including me) have problems. Every picture looks different as we tend to mess with Photoshop in 1000 different ways. Constant workflow. Easy said...
