For this weekend wedding I'm renting the Nikon 70-200mm VR II. I'm renting because this lens cost more then £1600. It's probably too big, heavy (1.6kg!!) and expensive for the most of the people. This is a lens that you get what you pay for, but if you are a holiday or landscape shooter, even if you get one of these for free, you certainly wouldn't carry it through the woods.
The Nikon 70-200 is a very large and long lens. When this thing is attached to your camera, you will feel like a rock star and you look like a pro. This lens is shouting "attention photographer", but it will help me during the ceremony to get some close ups from the couple. The image stabilisation makes it possible to go down with the shutter speed in low light situations and to get sharp pictures. This lens is very sharp and delivers a beautiful bouquet !
