Once again a workshop was to attend. This time Mark Cleghorn and onOne Software teamed up at the Ibis hotel at Earl's Court for a day of Photoshop and workflow training. Mark Cleghorn is renowned for his cheap training for photographers. He is teaching Photoshop to photographers for over 10 years. The seminar kicked off with workflow, quick colour and image management to proof or output to the client in minutes rather than hours. Masking, Cutting out, Re-touching using quick fixes before "Onone Software" presented some new features of their Creative Suite 5. The second half of the day was about techniques to make images jump off the page and enhance their look and value...I have to say for the price of 15 pounds the workshop was OK. It was not much that I could take with me (beside 2 books I purchased at this day). All the info given were not new to me, it just showed that the guy has a different workflow then lets say for example Jeff Ascough. Maybe 2 or 3 things were interesting and I might try them one day. OnOne Software is from my point of view not as good as Nik Software, so it's not my choice.
Mark Cleghorn's images have won hundreds of awards including the Kodak Gold Award 17 times. His work has been acknowledged by the photographic industry who awarded him 4 Fellowships for his outstanding images. Mark has written books on portrait and wedding photography.
